TWO FRIENDS AND THE BEAR
Once there were two
close friends. One day they were passing through the forest. The forest was
full of wild animals. The two friends promised to help each other in danger.
They had not gone far.
All on a sudden they saw a bear. It was coming towards them. They got afraid.
One of them knew how to climb a tree. He forgot his friend. So, he left his
friend also. He tried to save his own life. He climbed up a nearby tall tree.
The other
friend was in danger. He saw the work of his friend. He did not know how to
climb up a tree. He remembered Allah
again and again. He did not get nervous. He had firm faith in Allah. He heard
that bears do not touch a dead man.
He lay on the
ground like a dead man. The bear come up to him. It smell his body. The bear
thought him to be dead. So, it did not touch his body. The bear then went away.
The other
friend on the tree saw everything . Now he came down from the tree. He went to
his friend and said, “what did the bear say to you? He advised me not to
believe a false friend. A false friend leaves his friend in danger.
Moral: A friend
in need is a friend in deed.
